  7. █  Short cuts
  8.  
  9.     TechPlot provides a number of quick
  10. ways to choose menu commands.  For
  11. example, the click-drag method is a
  12. convenient way for mouse users to open a
  13. menu and make a menu selection.  From the
  14. keyboard, you can use a number of keyboard
  15. shortcuts (or hot keys) to access the menu
  16. bar and choose menu commands.  These hot
  17. keys are provided by the function keys
  18. (<F1> - <F10>, <Del>, <Ins> on a standard
  19. keyboard) and combinations with <Shift>,
  20. <Alt> and <Ctrl> keys.  If a hot key is
  21. available to a menu command, it is listed
  22. next to that command on the menu list.
  23. For example,  the Exit command on the File
  24. menu has a hot key <Alt-X>.

  30. █  Scroll bars
  31.  
  32.     There are two types of scroll bars:
  33. horizontal and vertical.  You may use these
  34. bars with a mouse to scroll the contents of
  35. the window.  Click the arrow at either end
  36. to scroll one line at a time. You can click
  37. the shaded area (thumb track) to either
  38. side of the scroll box to scroll one page
  39. at a time.  Finally, you can drag the
  40. scroll box (thumb) to any spot on the bar
  41. to quickly move to a spot in the window
  42. relative to the position of the scroll box.
